East Carlton Park is a great
inexpensive day out for the family. It is set in over 200 acres of
parkland and parking and admission are free.
We are home to the Heritage
Centre, here you can find some of the local history of Corby and there
are numerous artefacts on display.
The cafe offers hot & cold
drinks as well as food which is freshly prepared, souvenirs are
available , and a small selection of pocket money toys.
There is an outside seating area
for hot sunny days and drinking water is provided for dogs.
There is also an enclosed
play area for small children with a small grassy area in the middle
great for picnic's and mum's and dads can relax while the kids burn off
all their energies.

There is so much more still to do
at the park, Feed the ducks, BBQ, Picnic, Visit the butterfly park, take
one of the designated walks or just relax. |

The craft centre is situated above the Heritage
centre. There you will find Amu Sculpture.
Heritage dolls houses,
Club Gear
Direct
and a variety of other crafts, Down stairs is a
working Forge offering a
variety of skills.
Take a short walk through the
fields to the next village Middleton there you will find a friendly pub
with beer garden and serving hot food.

The park would not be complete
without the manor house not much seems to be known about the house.
It is owned by an Italian family and is not open to the public.
Superstition has it that it is
home to a ghost known as The Lavender Lady, she also haunts the
Heritage centre and it is said that if you smell the strong fragrance of
lavender then she is not far away.
