The Quasar is the latest sculpture, and has been commissioned by Mr Brian Walker of www.2and3wheelmodels.co.ukAs in previous sculptures we always start with a crude cardboard mould to make a basic shape and from this we can start to carve  a more detailed shape. It is Stone cast that we pour in to the crude mould, this is the material used to cast all Amu Sculptures. It is a very easy material to work with. To see a quasar go to www.quasarworld.com

First we make a cardboard mould made by cutting the shape and sticking them together to make the basic shape.

We then pour into this to give us a basic shape .

Once it is all assembled it looks like the shape above.

Once the stone cast has set we remove the cardboard and we are then left with the basic shape so that we can start to carve a more realistic shape.
